Deer Acorns
Deer love natural acorns. Deer will eat acorns in the fall to fatten up for the long winter. Every hunting magazine in the world will tell you to feed deer acorns. Deer and hopefully giant bucks will come back every day or so to check for more acorns to feed on. Deer are hungry and they are searching for easy meals. Acorns under oak trees provide deer with nutrient rich mast meal high in carbs and proteins. Deer will eat acorns daily and greens to fatten up. If you layout acorns in your hunting spot you are sure to attract deer and bucks. Deer prefer white oak acorns over red oak acorns because white oak acorns have less tannins, so they are less sour. Deer would rather eat white oak acorns, but they will eat red oak acorns. They will eat what is available to them.
